The coolest music festival of the year just dropped its massive New Years Eve line-up, which includes: Major Lazer, Flume, Odesza and RL Grime to get things started. Unlike most festivals set in hot desert lands, or in the peak of summer, SnowGlobe is especially made to turn up in colder climate.
In its sixth year, South Lake Tahoe’s very own SnowGlobe is one of the most unique festival experiences of them all with guests from all over the world setting their sights on ending the calendar year in the Sierra mountains.
As always, SnowGlobe curates the hottest EDM performers, hip-hop acts and up-and-coming artists. In addition to the major headliners, Illenium, Chet Porter, Sam Gellaitry and Brasstracks are a few of the artists to look forward to this December.
With a short and easy drive up to the mountains, transportation is relatively painless and convenient, especially for those taking advantage of the festival’s options of getting to the venue. Make sure to start shopping for snow gear, boots and stock up on hand warmers if you plan on making the trip to California’s coolest New Year’s Eve festival.
Here are a few of the artists to look forward to this year, including a playlist for those looking to get more familiar with the line-up:
Flume returns to SnowGlobe with new music, after taking part in the ball drop in 2014.
RL Grime is anticipated to bring the heat with his grimey hip-hop, trap sound, sure to melt the snow. Whether it is a small party in LA or a huge festival setting like Coachella, the man never disappoints for those that love a good hip-hop and trap dance party.
Major Lazer is sure to perform ‘Cold Water’ in the perfect environment, because there’s nothing like hearing a feel good song in the middle of a festival crowd with some of your closest friends.
