Go Horseback Riding
One of the best ways to experience the equestrian culture and scenic beauty of Fair Oaks is with a leisurely horseback ride at Shadow Glen Riding Stables. Their incredible one-hour or two-hour western trail ride takes you along the American River at Lake Natoma, guided by wranglers knowledgeable of the area. You will travel by horse up and down hills and through trees, offering a combination of direct sunlight and shaded areas.

Stretch your legs at any of the nine parks in the Fair Oaks region, covering over 125 acres of land. Pack a picnic and head to Plaza Park, Phoenix Park or Sailor Bar. The 114-acre Sailor Bar is a popular area for fishing, swimming, kayaking and hiking, and simply taking in the beautiful views of the American River.
