Returning for its 10th year, Sacramento Fashion Week once again presented a week of fashion-centric events that highlights locally-based talent and celebrates the world of fashion.
Produced by Duane Ram, Missy O’Daniel, and Ryan Brough, the annual event, which took place Feb. 21-27, concluded Saturday after spending seven days spotlighting Sacramento’s talented pool of designers, models, makeup artists, hair stylists, clothing stylists, production crew, photographers/videographers, and fashionistas.

Sunday – Boutique Show & Shop Event

The Sunday kick-off event took place at the California Auto Museum featuring local boutiques, showcasing upcoming trends to be hitting their stores, and guest were able to shop all the looks and more that same night.
Boutiques included Mirror Mirror Fashion, Rire Boutique, Neetu Sfashion, Sei Bella Boutique, Identity Boutique, Krazy Mary’s Boutique, Runway/Button Up Boutique, and Retrospect Vintage Fashion.
Monday – Fashion Forum

The Monday event was that of a Fashion Forum, held at the Art Institute of Sacramento, and consisted of talks and advice from successful industry professionals and entrepreneurs. Discussion of latest trends, business tips, and fashion industry advice was welcomed with grateful nods by those who attended.
Tuesday – Model Bootcamp

Tuesday’s event provided a model boot camp for current and aspiring models to learn the proper techniques of walking the runway and posing. Held at Arden Fair Mall, Cast Images Model Agent and veteran professional model Amber Collins led and taught upcoming models the ‘do’s’ and ‘don’ts’ on the runway.

Wednesday’s event was located at Beatnik Studios, hosted by Martin Anaya and Kim Mims via the California Film Foundation, blended the local film industry to the local fashion industry with “Fashion on Film” night, where filmmakers created short films involving fashion.
Thursday – Emerging Designer Showcase

Thursday’s Emerging Designer Showcase, held at Federico Beauty Institute, highlighted the work of student designers from schools in and around Northern California and well as upcoming designers who are about to make their labels known.
Designers included: Hagen Valencia, Angelina Martin, Zenzele Nuru, Jose Rual Rosales, Amal Iqbal, Christy Jahlea Jahlou, Kirsi Sasso, Seekham Thao, and Leo Tillis.
Friday – Spring/Summer Showcase

Friday was the Spring/Summer Showcase at a newly used location Neumann Enterprises, hosted by news anchor Bethany Crouch (styled by professional stylist Erin Loriaux) .
Designers included Yennie Zhou, Daniel Laukat, Kimberly Dawn Eanes, Nina Brown, Rachel Lewis, Tyniece Hall, Theresa Truong, and Hill Tribe Fusion. Amazing displays of art walked the runway.
Saturday – Fall/Winter Showcase

The final day of Sacramento Fashion Week provided jaw-dropping designs for the Fall/Winter Showcase.
Designers included: Anastasia Kryukova, Frances Wright, Latiya Gholar, Prince Singh, Lena Trotsko, Mai Vang, Eshonna Trice, Karisa Gold, and Carlos Collins.
