Donate Socks for the Homeless at 5th Annual Sock Drive

With a goal of collecting 25,000 pairs of socks, Uptown Studios is asking the community of Sacramento to do some good this holiday season by donating socks to their 5th annual Sock Drop Sock Drive before it ends this Friday, Dec. 11.

All sock donations will go to Loaves & Fishes to help the homeless as well as some other local nonprofits in an effort to help those in need. The sock drive, which began began Oct. 1, has successfully reached their goal in years past, but not without the help of a lot people.

To make it even more of a communal event, Uptown Studios is asking donors to share their pictures and tweets on social media with the tag #SockDropSac. All tagged photos will be added to Uptown Studio’s website.

Giving is easy with multiple ways to get socks into the right hands (or should we say feet?). Here are some ways to participate:

Buy & Drive

Buy socks at any store and drop them by the Uptown Studios office. There is a collection barrel on their front porch.

Buy Online & Ship

Purchase socks online and have them shipped by Dec. 11:

Uptown Studios
410 Alhambra Blvd.
Sacramento, CA 95816

Pro Feet has offered to donate a pair of socks for every pair ordered on their website using the charity code “sockittome” at checkout. Simply order and have them shipped to the address above.

Drop Socks off any any Famous Footwear

Bring socks or purchase them at any Famous Footwear and leave them in the store’s collection bin.

Write a Check

Make a check out to “Loaves & Fishes – SockDrop” and they will deliver it to Loaves & Fishes.

Be a part of making their goal happen by giving while you still can!
