Wizard World Comic Con Sacramento returns to the city this weekend and is expected to draw even larger crowds of people looking forward to cosplaying and seeing popular actors, artists and writers.
Last year’s event drew an estimated 30,000 for its three-day event held at the Sacramento Convention Center. Celebrities sure to draw more people include such as Malcolm McDowell (A Clockwork Orange ), Billie Piper (Doctor Who), Norman Mark Reedus (Boondock Saints, The Walking Dead), Henry Winkler (Happy Days, Royal Pains), Sean Patrick Flanery (Boondock Saints), Katie Cassidy (Arrow, Gossip Girl), Danny Trejo (Machete, Machete Kills) and many others.
The Comic Con will occupy a bigger section of the Convention Center allowing for more interactive sessions with celebrities and provide a larger assortment of comic book artists and actors to interact with their loyal fans. A huge vendor hall will have comics and collectibles along with artist sketches, lithographs and more in the Artists’ Alley.
New this time around, live music by local musicians who will showcase their talent on the 2nd Floor Courtyard of the Sacramento Convention Center each day of the convention.
Besides celebrity Q&A, photo and autograph sessions many of the attendees will be dressed in their favorite cosplay outfits. An adult and kids cosplay contest will be a highlight for many of the attendees.
So, if you’re looking for something to do this Father’s Day Weekend, Wizard World Sacramento Comic Con has something for the whole family to enjoy.
Most of the programming is included as part of general admission but some sessions may include an extra fee.
