Bike Dog Brewery Opens with a Loud Bark

DSC_0307

I headed to Bike Dog Brewery’s grand opening Saturday night. Mapquesting it (ya can’t teach old dogs new tricks) got me to an industrial complex on Industrial Boulevard in West Sacramento.

I figured it was the right spot when I saw a crowd of people standing around the doorway with beer glasses.

Luckily two motorcycles left, and I pulled into their spot just in front of Bike Dog Brewery. I waited for my friend to arrive, and we discovered the long line of folks waiting for a beer.

The atmosphere was upbeat and the interior was nice – easy on the eyes.

I ordered the double IPA and my friend had the fall saison. The double IPA was perfect for my taste. We quickly headed outside for some breathing room – this was a successful and crowded grand opening.

We finished our first round and joined the waiting line once again. I grabbed another pint of the double IPA while my friend went for a half-pint of the IPA.

My eyes were pulled to the bicycles above the serving area we were hoping to reach quickly.

There were plenty of dogs who made it out for the event. We met Rocco, who loved the smell of my feet in my sandals – a dog with a foot fetish.

After finishing our second round, my comrade and I hugged goodbye. We’d had good conversation and good beer.

What more does a woman need?
