It’s Friday night and you have a hot date. You casually suggest a dinner spot as if you’re not there every “date night.” Cheese Cake Factory it is, and maybe even a movie afterwards. As you cruise the menu pretending you don’t know exactly what you are going to order, your eyes start to glaze over as you realize that the boring “dinner and a movie” just isn’t cutting it anymore. Maybe your dates are just fine; it’s the date activities that need a good sprucing up. Guess what? There is an app for that! Keep in mind that even on the most out of the ordinary and exciting dates if the spark isn’t there it just isn’t there. While the app might not help you find love it may help you keep it.

You might have seen Good Day Sacramento announced a casting call for a single girl that was up for a challenge; 30 dates in 30 consecutive days with 30 different men. Think the Bachelor meets Survivor, minus the bug-eating and nail-biting rose ceremonies. Sarah, a young accountant single woman in her twenties. According to Sara she was a perfect match: adventurous and up for the challenge.
“Before this challenge my dates were very typical, total dinner and a movie type thing,” Sarah confessed. She admits that she really had no idea there were so many options when it came to date idea. “It’s going to be great to use with all my girlfriends too, there are a ton of activities to choose from,” she mentions. “I met some really great guys, they were funny, interesting and had some old school manners which I love, you know real gentleman stuff.” Sarah adds. (No love connections, of course I asked). Sarah’s favorite date “activity” was the skydiving, she said it was a total rush.
Roman and his wife of 13 years also discovered Details Matter on the morning news. He downloaded it right away and has already been on two awesome dates. He and his wife took a Salsa lesson and went surfing indoors. Roman mentioned that he and his wife were guilty of the typical dinner and drink date as well. “To be honest, on the nights we did have a sitter we spent half the night discussing what each other wanted to do,” Adds Roman. He said, “The app has brought a level of intimacy in our marriage in terms of communication we’re more engaged with one another.” Roman did mention that he wants more deals on the app and perhaps that is something we can look for in the future.
