I have always had rescue dogs and they are the most wonderful, loving companions I can imagine. Readers, please consider making a regular donation to any of the many organizations that rescue homeless and abused animals-- $5 a month to an organization can make a huge difference to our helpless canine and feline friends. One of my favorites is a clinic that treats the companions of homeless people-- often a dog is a homeless person's best or only friend, security, and unconditional love.
