The Sacramento Women's Chorus is a wonderful resource, congratulations on 25 years of great music! This concert is sure to be terrific! Nice article, and great photos.
Lovely article! Great photos, and a tantalizing glimpse into a gem of a resource for an early spring field trip!
Isn't this the second car vs RT train incident in a week? Great photos!
Thanks... whether number one or number five, it's an honor! Your turn is coming...
Love your work, Kati!
Good article, Brandon! The Singing on the Steps event at the Capitol yesterday was great fun, despite the chilly breeze. Girl Scouts of the USA is a terrific organization and has been a positive influence for generations of girls-- I would venture to guess that a sizable percentage of the women who hold positions of power and responsibility in government, education, community activism, business and the arts were once Girl Scouts.
This year's winning stories and photos were truly exceptional... thanks to Sacramento Press for providing such a wonderful forum for these creative contributors! Congratulations, everyone!
Thanks so much for this honor! While I do love choral music, and the many other events I cover (often with my good friend and photographer extraordinaire Kati Garner), I plan to branch out and stretch my explorations even farther this year. Thanks to the Sacramento Press for offering all of us a forum for our work, and to the marvelous staff which helps us shine!
Headhunters/Cornerstone is on the corner of 20th and K Streets. Good article!
As insect-eaters, bats are the best! I'm building a bat house to put on my garage. Thanks for an informative article-- great pictures too.
Thanks, John-- great article. This is some exciting news, I'm sharing it with my writers' group.
Thank you. Fascinating responses!
One of the wonderful features of citizen journalism is the opportunity it affords individuals to write and to respond to what is written. Honest dialogue and the exchange of ideas and opinions is exciting. I'm glad that my work stimulated so much discussion.
Nice article, I appreciate your humor.
Looks like excellent fun! Thanks for the fab photos!
The gorgeous baritone solo in the Requiem, in both the "Offertorium" and "Libera Me", was beautifully sung by Thomas Voigt.
Very nice coverage, Ron. Not the show I would have expected from Jack Gallagher!
I have often wondered about the East Portal Park neighborhood and those interesting stone houses... thanks for bringing this story forward. Well written and researched.
These are some phenomenal shots. You really captured the grace and majesty of these beautiful birds, as well as the feel of the foggy stillness of a winter morning. Thank you!
