While I understand the views expressed by residents who may "have to use their driveways" or fight for limited street parking, I feel that this is something people should have thought about before buying or renting in a heavily trafficked area. We are a city that boasts tons of cyclists, and there's going to have to be some sort of compromise surrounding this area (I'm really glad the problem is being addressed in the first place).

As an avid cyclist living in Curtis Park, I've seen multiple collisions on this stretch and personally been "doored" twice just fighting for a space to ride. Also, there will always be those outside the law, but most of us "tree hugging" cyclists are definitely not rogue fighters hell bent on running lights and dodging stop signs for fun. I'll stay positive and hope that this stretch will become safer for all!
