That's awesome that you saw the article, bringing the America Live! cast back together!
Hey Brandon, make sure you check out the Joe Anthony Salva post in a couple of weeks, it'll answer all those questions your looking for!
hahahaha, I'll trump you again, I'm already looking at doing a dive bar series! ahahah maybe one of these days soon I'll write about food again!
Love this article!! We need more cocktail emphasis all around! Awesome articles like this help us get there!
absolutely agree!
hahah, Lindol I knew you would try and keep me honest. I'm looking to keep this series about the craftsmanship of the drink, but I'm ALL about the undiscovered spot. It just tends to be the case that Mixologists work in the high-end places, but if you or any reader knows about a local treasure that I haven't found please tell me, I would love to add them! A lot of those smaller craft/dive bar styles are featuring a lot of great beer, which is what my next series will focus on.
Getting the bartenders attention, and the care to how you order seems to be a big deal with these guys. You probably know the stereotypical people who are only there to drink = drunk, and those are the people that bartenders don't like, the tips go down, the security goes up, and everyone in the place can tend to be more uncomfortable, in most cases, not all. I'll ask if there are any others.
I know, people are loving the inside look to the guy to handcraft's their drinks! I started out with a standard set of questions but I would love reader contributions, what are your questions. I might even do a round up with all the guys about questions everyone has? Let me know!
Your kinda right, he was trying to approach the question, but almost all of the guys I've talked to are singing the same song, it's all about patience. If I can get anymore out of them during my "research" I'll get back to you.
I'm absolutely with you on the Gastropub thing, but we don't have one yet so were a prime market right? I agree others are doing it better, but mid to getting better is better than none! Try Kupros and let me know what you think!
Hey Collen, I'm glad your experience was great! I hope they continue to do better. There's a lot of culinary underbelly info I also know about this restaurant that was not in this article, so I'm glad to see so much support for this restaurant, and hope they truly do get over their hiccups!
I'm glad, I hope we keep only getting better and better restaurants in Sacramento
Thanks for the commentary, it might seem a bit unbalanced, but in this economy, spending the dollar amount we spend per plate I expect good things. And when I know I can go down the street for a better, more consistent meal, I'll voice my opinion so others can benefit from it. I hope when you get a chance to try it, your experience was more like my first and not my last.
thank you, food critiques are always just an opinion, but this one was mine!
I totally agree, there's so much room for improvement and potential for greatness, but it'll take a critical hand. But I'd be excited to go back if they could make some changes! With le petite closing we need more great restaurants opening!!!

I love the review and the photos Ron! How did you achieve that white light in that ambiantly lit restaurant??!! Incredible!
