Thank you Sac Press for the great coverage. City Council made it clear that the issue had nothing to do with McDonald's. The debate was about the drive-thru, which is not allowed in this C-2 zoning; it requires a special permit and that is what council denied. It was also great to hear Schenirer emphasize the importance of this "gateway" corner!
