I feel sorry for anyone who lives in a place they don't like and does nothing but whine about it. You could, you know, move elsewhere if you are not happy here. Or make it better here.
Way to go. This is just the kind of approach that is needed.
I live in the neighborhood and have attended meetings on this land for many years. I think the flood issue is a red herring raised by people who don't understand the area's flood control situation; most of Sacramento is in a flood zone, and I don't see any special problem here. As far as treating this as a "conservation area", in my view this is just trying to put a nature band aid on an undeveloped parcel. I'd rather focus conservation efforts on the parkway and Sutter's Landing area.
Well...sure. But I live two blocks from the proposed development, and while you see very few 3-car garages, the streets are packed with parked cars. Not sure that it is any better.
