Similar to a pub crawl but with restaurants, food aficionado group Dishcrawl offers “foodies” a chance to visit new restaurants and meet the owners and chefs. The attendees sign up for the event online and the meeting place is revealed after payment is received. The Sacramento chapter of Dishcrawl – which aims to bring people together over food, according to founder Tracy Lee – will host its next restaurant crawl at 7 p.m. Jan. 25. This will be the sixth Dishcrawl event in Sacramento, and according to the group’s Twitter feed, it will explore J and K streets. The actual restaurants will be released to ticket holders 48 hours before the event. Previous Dishcrawls in Sacramento have taken
Thank you so much Judie! I really enjoyed talking to you, it was truly inspiring. And it was amazing seeing everyone who was there. I will have to grab a copy when they come in!
Having lived downtown for a while, I don't visit that part of K Street unless there is a specific purpose. It's not because of the lack of parking spaces, there are just not any venues there that are appealing to me and my friends, except for Crest Theatre. And, to be honest, it gets a little scary after certain hours. Hopefully, with the addition of some new businesses and housing, there will be more of a reason to go down there and the dynamics will change a little.
With all the negativity going around, it's a pleasant surprise to see there is still some holiday spirit around. It was a difficult task for Carlton Christmas Trees to remove the old tree and replace it with the new one, but they still did it and did not ask for anything in return. It's nice to know there are still people like this around.
I did not know the Gender Health Center existed until I read this article. I think this event will be a great way to get their name out there and will hopefully give the transgender population comfort in knowing they aren't alone. Also, WFTDA's policy is a huge step toward the right direction.

The $20 ticket price will be going toward Center for Land Based Learning, a program that is "dedicated to teaching California's youth about the importance of agriculture and creating the next generation of farmers," Mulvaney said. The restauarnt will be serving bacon-centric finger foods and local beer and cider.
