Midtown Sacramento's art scene just got a little more crowded as the Elliott Fouts Gallery, a mainstay in the local art scene, officially made the move from East Sacramento over the weekend. Over 350 patrons of the arts attended the grand opening during the Second Saturday Art Walk at the new 5,600 square foot building at 1831 P Street. "I came here tonight because I believe in supporting true art," patron Fred McNally said. The new midtown space is larger than the gallery's previous building in East Sacramento, which was an important factor in the move. "We have a lot of work on display," gallery spokesperson Michelle Satterlee said. "For us it was important to have a space that allow

Mulvaney’s B&L and Ella Dining Room & Bar are three of the 35 participating restaurants this year, which are located in Midtown, downtown and the greater Sacramento area, and range in price from $35 to $50 per person. Everyone knows that when your pet is sick, you take it to see the veterinarian, but at the Sacramento Zoo on Saturday, children and their families brought stuffed animals needing a patch up to the second annual Stuffed Animal Vet Clinic. Produced by Sacramento's chapter of the American Association of Zookeepers, this year’s vet clinic treated over 160 stuffed animal patients, twice as many as last year. Checkups cost $3 per animal. Children and families who did not have an animal friend of their own had the opportunity to adopt one lightly used pet for $1. The event raised $600, which will be donated to the Sacramento Police Canine Association, in order to assist the police dog, Bodie,
Does your teddy bear need fixing? Maybe your animal friend isn't feeling so well. A stuffed animal veterinarian will be available to help at the Sacramento Zoo's Second Annual Stuffed Animal Veterinary Clinic on May 26. Between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m., children and their families may bring in their stuffed animals for an exam by zoo veterinarians or zookeepers to the Veterinary Hospital Lawn inside. Exams are $3 per stuffed animal. There will be six different stations and a reception area, according to Zoo Education Specialist Brooke Coe. Four of the stations are vet stations, where the stuffed animal will have its physical and check-up. A surgery center will be available for repairing injure

I find articles like this to be very beneficial because these activities are not always advertised in readily accessible places. Especially if you haven't heard of the smaller wonders like Fairytale town. A lot of people forget these places exist. It's nice to know that there's one place I can look to find events for my family. Are there any recommendations for events? I know the Fairytale Town will be fun.
This article is very interesting. I had only seen the movie "Twister" and thought that storm chasers use normal vehicles to do their jobs, so when I read about this new TIV, I was amazed. I would feel a lot more safe as a storm chaser if I got to ride in this. The red spikes is the clencher for me -- in terms of doing all that one can possibly do in this profession for safety. Do any other storm chasers have this type of vehicle or it is specifically his own creation?
This is a fascinating article. Does Macia Fuller speak every year on this subject or does she go around town giving frequent talks? I think it would be effective if she went around to public schools and spoke to students learning about that time period.

Thank you for pointing this out. I see where I was confused and I apologize.
