I grew up swimming at this pool which seemed Olympic size at the time. Please Do Not send checks to Gifts to Share. Your money will not help the pool. The City will not open the pool next year. It is up to the neighbors, parents and volunteers to open it or work with a private entity to open it next year. Gifts to Share is run by the City who does not have the knowledge to run things cost effectively. $22,000 for a kiddy pool of which $8000 is for water, electrical, etc, while $14000 it to train and manage teenage life guards which based on the hours they have the pool open is about $47 per hour for the life guard. We the citizens can run it better than the City. Do rely on the City for anything in the near future. There are more cuts to come.

Sarah, I own Bikes and Bites, which rents bikes sponsored by restaurants and hotels in Downtown and Midtown. The advertising is own the bikes. We rent from March through November. The program was very well received in its first run.
