The flat screen is not for watching television or sports...it is for board meetings and conferences that need a big screen to utilize off their laptop, and to access the music stations included with our cable service. We agree with you, and should have probably clarified why it was put there:)

What a shame. While I dont know the facts about his situation in San Jose, and too know first hand how just the mention of sexual harrasment can be played against someone or a company, with no substantiation of any kind, but the threat of going public. There in lies the issue with the "question" that was asked. Personally, I dont see the relevance to asking the question, I dont see the relevance in bringing up something about someone that was just an accusation, and a government body that more than likely just caved because of public perception. If something similar had been insininuated locally with him, or in his department, then perhaps there would have been some relevance to the question, but it really seems like something the Star with stir up, just for attention or readership. No, it was just a question, the story was not written, but we all know that at some point a story would have been posted here, and then he would have to live this all over again with his family, employer and people that he works with....again, for something he was nevery actually found guilty of. Do we not have enough tangible or relevant stories that could be writtne about the city and politics, without having to look for something that is 3 years old, and has no direct connection to a current situation or event?

Do bbbbmer and Marion ever say anything positive? Better yet, with so many compelling arguments and amazing ideas, why dont one of you step up and be either a civic leader or run for office rather than always attacking those that have stepped up? You should never attack someones effort, effort in itself is where great ideas are born from, and it might be refreshing for you to take an idea, and then see what we can do to build on it. I'm havent decided one way or the other with Kevin yet, but he is not sitting on his ass just letting others take the lead. Mistakes here or there, wrong statements, big ideas, give the guy a break...at least he is in the game. Does anyone really believe that no one else has thought of fixing the current Arena, that there are not more qualified folks who have not looked into that, and come away with the idea that it is not feasible, realistic or workable, or would cost near the same to build a new one? Its not just a SPORTS arena, basketball only represents about 18% of the events there....geesh! Would be nice to see folks here try and be the solution, rather than exasperate on the problems.

There is no battle when only one side is fighting (or communicating in this arena). All of your feelings would have been more impacting if not one person had commented; he predicted it, he knows his audience,thus the silence would have been defeaning. All you have achieved is to empower him. I am not vested one way or the other in terms of who is more right or wrong, but as soon as he chose to pick up his marbles and leave the game, you should have let him, regardless of his reasons. It doesnt matter if there was any validity to his assertions or if he was completely on the mark, If that is the excuse he needed, right or wrong, then a thank you buubye is all that was needed. He has turned his back and walked away, so to attack him with his back turned just validates what his point was, doesnt it?
