The best part of the Public Art that is on display here is that for the most part these are Images created by local artists and funded privately by local art supporters. I may be a bit biased given the origins of the Alhambra Mural. It was completed in 1998 as the first of four murals produced through the Midtown Mural Project over a five year+period. The image is the design of a very talented local artist Steven Bauer. Steven working together with myself and another assistant painted the wall over a four week period. Can anyone tell us which are the other four murals that were created by the MMP? Here is a hint one of them is pictured in this article, and all four still exist. Here is to an art filled New Year to everybody. Cheers
When imagination is coupled collaboration, you can be sure that artists are the driving force.
Congradulations Sol Collective ! Thanks for giving to Sactown.
My personal experience has given me the opinion that seniors and teens can learn a lot from each other. When both groups keep an open mind the shared interactions can create a rewarding series of experiences. When you mix the experience and wisdom generated from a well lived life with the optimism and fresh vision of youth in the crucible of creative minds you stand to realize the best of all generations.
Toooo Coool, Daddy Ooo!! Nice Pics, Great Rides!
Uncle Fred epitomizes the spirit and heart of midtown. With class and style he has created friendships and given much more than a place of business to Sacramento. Thanks Uncle Fred !
