The recent release of the Sacramento Business Journal's list of Fastest Growing Businesses in Greater Sacramento failed to include one extremely bright spot in the sluggish economic recovery: Top Rank Heating and Air, based in Elk Grove, experienced record growth in 2011. Marilyn’s on K will be hosting a Karaoke Event every Thursday night in May to benefit the Fisher House – promotion and prizes sponsored by Give Back 2 Sac. Every Thursday evening at Marilyn’s on K at 8:30pm for the month of May, the $1 admission fee at the door will be donated to the Fisher House. This 501c3 helps military families in times of medical emergencies. Marilyn on K’s chosen charity provides a legitimate and much needed service for military families. The Give Back 2 Sac Program is an electronic payment system service that emerged in Sacramento because of the areas’ strong sense of community. This is a community driven program, with the goal to improve the quality of life for those in the immediate area. Each local business contributes to the program by providing a small percentage of their revenue from each payment transactions to a local charity of their choice. The Give Back 2 Sac Program provides an electronic payment system to local businesses and through this system, 20% of the merchant service proceeds are then donated to the local charity of the business’s choice.
