The Sacramento International Film Festival opened to a packed house this last Saturday at the Crocker Art Museum to the film “A California State of Mind: The legacy of Pat Brown” directed by Sascha Rice. The Sacramento International Film Festival, in its current inception since 2003, has three objectives: serve as a skills incubator for the local film community, bring international films to northern Californians, and provide a forum for conversation between independent filmmakers and industry professionals from Hollywood. The LAUNCH 2010 took off!

   The LAUNCH at the Aritsan successfully blasted off last night on Del Paso Blvd.  An event in its second year, The LAUNCH showcased art, music, fashion, and design from Sacramento, San Francisco, Oakland, Los Angeles, Seattle and Toronto. The event featured musical performances throughout the night, an indie design fair, unique local vendors all in one spot, a series of designer fashion shows, and collections of local artists and furniture designers. LAUNCH design and music festival to blast off July 31

Let the countdown begin for the second annual LAUNCH, Sacramento’s indie design and music festival.
