The pair of locals who founded KingsTribe Clothing in 2007 are bringing an event to Sacramento this weekend that is meant to mimic short-term retail sites prevalent in cities such as San Francisco and Los Angeles – a “pop-up shop.” “This is a first for us. It’s kind of an experimental thing,” said co-owner and designer Samuel Parkinson, 26. “A pop-up shop is up one day and out the next. We’re going to open Friday and leave Sunday night.” The shop will be in what is essentially the basement of a Victorian building at 2017 I St., which was a tattoo shop at one time, Parkinson said.
