    <content type="html">&lt;p&gt; &lt;strong&gt;The 2011 Banana Festiva will celebrate art, culture, music, diversity, heatlh and wellness, going green with composting and food. The array of food this year will be a Banana Spitacular line up!!!&lt;br /&gt; &lt;br /&gt;

  &lt;strong&gt;Other Fesitval Highlights:&lt;/strong&gt; 
 &lt;/u&gt;&lt;br /&gt; National Academic Youth Corps will be presenting the 2nd annual Banana Festival-celebrating community, art, culture and health from August 13th through August 14th at William Land Park in Sacramento, California. The Banana Festival will host an extensive lineup of music, art, food and entertainment at the 2011 Banana Festival. This year’s festival will continue to celebrate healthy lifestyles and eating as well as the many cultures in Asia, Africa and the Americas which use the banana as a source of food, art and culture.&lt;/p&gt; 
&lt;p&gt; &lt;br /&gt; This year’s festival promises to be very special with help from other partners stepping up to support our endeavors. Disc Dogs of the Golden State will sponsor a free performance. International Art &amp;amp; Design Technology will provide a free Banana themed fashion show, Mullingan's will provide a Banana pancake breakfast. The Banana Chef challenge will be sponsored by Eastbay Restaurant Supplies and Cuisine Noir Magazine and Sky Resort will be providing a free 7 Day trip to Hawaii.&lt;/p&gt; 
&lt;p&gt; &lt;br /&gt; Fairy Tale town will host our children's youth exhibit featuring: Freeport Elementary School and Very Special Arts. We will also feature the Techno Art exhibit provided by youth from Roberts Family Development Center. Additionally Fairytale town will give 50% off for all festival goers to enter into Fairytale town. General Produce will be sponsoring over 1000 pounds of Banana's, UBantu Green will help sponsor the Going Green with composting, and Schools Credit Union will sponsor the Banana Education Art Contest (B.E.A). Musical Instruments N Kids Hands will bring will provide the Mobile Music Truck, Rebecca Davis will provide free books, American Heart Association will provide a Family Health History Tree activity for kids. Washington Neighborhood Center will be making Monkey Head Pi&amp;ntilde;atas, to get the audience up and moving Tina B. &amp;amp; the Soul Line Dancers will perform Banana Line Dancing, Samoria Lamuse will dedicate a performance honoring Josephine Baker and Cap City Stunt Team will provide a captivating performance.&lt;/p&gt;

 &lt;/u&gt;&lt;br /&gt; Banana carnival&lt;br /&gt; Banana Themed Arts and Crafts&lt;br /&gt; Inflatable slides/Jumpers&lt;br /&gt; Banana foods from around the world: Bananadellias, Banana Dog, Banana Taffy, Banana Cake, Banana Pies, Banana Cookies, Banana Pudding, Banana Soup, Banana Salsa, Banana Shish Kabob, Banana Tempera, Banana Pop Corn, Banana Fritters, Grilled Banana’s and Banana Tamales&lt;br /&gt; Banana Community awards (Honoring Ecuadorian Farm Workers and Lee Perkins and Andr&amp;eacute;a Gomez formerly of radio station 101.1)&lt;br /&gt; Banana Golf tournament&lt;br /&gt; Banana 2011 Festival Queen is Marisa Adams&lt;br /&gt; “All About Bananas” Visual Art Exhibition provided by the Kuumba Art Gallery and featured art group Women’s Wisdom&lt;br /&gt; Give-a-ways (2 trips) provided by Banana Beach Resort&lt;/p&gt;
