HealthCorps held its first Sacramento Gala "journey to Oz" at the Memorial Auditorium recently. Around 500 supporters came to the event co-hosted by founders Dr. Mehmet Oz and his wife Lisa Oz. Earlier in the day Dr. Oz made a surprise visit to Sacramento Food Bank & Family Services and held a healthy food competition at Hiram High School. The Auditorium was a visual wonderment for raising funds for the non-profit's national wellness movement and proven high school mentoring program as well as new initiatives to expand its impact across the country, according to a spokesperson.
