Local Talent Take Home the Cash...Blue rom Winners!

We had a great event last Thursday, as mentioned here in the Sacramento Press; the Sacramento Talent Agency and The Blue Room Lounge held a talent competition.

Our winners were: Comedy - Jason Thompson ... Jason had some fresh material and really engaged the crowd, he is presently on a mini tour and left for
Oregon today for another gig. His winnings came in handy for travel money.

Musical - Todd Morgan... Todd's piano would not work properly through the sound system (ground issue) anyway, he borrowed a guitar
from one of the other musicians and went to work. Despite the change in instruments he played
three very good cover tunes and brought the house down.

There were stellar performances also from Cuba who played guitar/harmonica and sang original music (he lost by only two votes), and Amelie Howe sang a couple beautiful original songs. There was also great comedy from Mike Ozborn, and fun dancing by Brandon Jackson.

Thursday Jan. 21st Sacramento Entertainment Agency and Blue Room Lounge are having a talent competition.
It is at the Blue Room Lounge inside the Capitol City Hotel corner of Auburn & Fulton ave. Plenty of free parking!
We have $100 that night in cash prizes...$50 for best comedy or variety act and $50 for best musician/singer
Show is at 8 pm, door open at 7pm..

This Thursday Dec 3rd we will feature Comedian Mike Osborn (finalist in Sacto Has Talent Competition), Musical artist "Hot Temperament", Singer Yovanna Gojnic, Rappers "Youngworks", and two more comedians...John Richards and Carlos Rodriquez! Show at 8:00pm
There is also an Open Mic from 7 to 8pm, come out and try your act on stage. Doors open at 6pm to sign up.

This Wed night at 8:00, SactoTalent.com produces another Variety Show at harlows Nightclub on 27th & Jst.featuring local acts. This time we hear fromt the band "NewSpace Quartet", bringing their great music to the stage. Throughout the show you will be entertained by several unique music talents...Singer Ava Lemert sings a little R&B, Erika Davis sings while her dance troupe captures the audience with their provocative dance moves, and Jessica Jolia uses her talent to sing some new hits....it will be amazing.

That's not all! We also have some great comedy from Cheryl "The Soccer Mom'" and some edgier hip comedy from Woody Laughnan.

So come on by for a couple drinks, an evening of good musical entertainment, and have a big laugh.

Talent Search, Thursday 8PM at Dante Club..Open to the Public!

Here is an opportunity to see and support local talent. Thursday June 11th at 8pm the Dante Club opens it's doors to over 20 acts of various styles and talent level. Anyone that signed up can get stage time and get a real idea of their talent and how crowds will recieve them. Everyone only gets 3 to 5 min., so the pace is fast and furious. There is never a dull moment when you are watching excited performers sharing their talents and trying to please an audience. Some are great, others are not; that is part of the fun.

It is open to the public at only $5 cover, see 20 different acts and be out by 10pm! Lots of music, fun & laughs

We have singers, dancers, comics, and more! All the talent are showcasing for a chance to join the "NEW" Sacramento Entertainment Agency. Where they will perform in shows and work gigs around town. Local Talent Shines

Sacramento has long been devoid of an opportunity to see and enjoy live shows which feature a variety of local talent. Now we have it!Harlows Nightclub, downtown on J st., now features Variety Shows on alternating Weds. nights. The next is on June 3rd with another following on June 17th. These fun shows include a local band to focus the crowd and raise the energy in the room. Then they present a singer to share a couple songs; followed by one of the areas better comedians. Now the show is really moving, they put on stage another singer or two, another comic and finish with the Band playing off the night with another set of music. It is a full night of unique fun.

What makes this special is that every show is different. Always a new selection of local musical and comic talent. The singers are my favorite because you never know what your going to get. On the last show there was an amazing Opera singer, Kelly Hall, who sileneced the crowd with her amazing voice. Next was an amazing guitarist Fretea Sylver with her original and sobering musc. That was followed by a talented local rap artist Steve Weidel who took the audience back to a energetic frenzy. You add in the comic talents of Mike Osborne and Woody Laughnan and you get Variety like no where else in Sacramento.

Drop by Harlows June 3rd or 17th and see for yourself what great talent we have locally. There is only a $5 cover and the drinks & food from Harlows are tasty. And if you enjoy yourself let the owner of Harlows know, so we can see more talent from our own backyard.
