  <subtitle>Tuesday, May 19th, polls open at 7 a.m. and close at 8 p.m. for a statewide special election for six budget-related propositions. For those Sacramento Press readers who already registered, the following is a resource guide to make sure your vote gets counted:

Statewide, the Official Voter Information Guide is a great place to read a summary of the issues 1A-1F in a number of different languages, and it includes the following forward from Debra Bowen, Secretary of State:

    <content type="text">Interesting points. I've never read 'Mein Kampf' nor is it likely to happen anytime soon. Same with 'Das Kapital'. Whenever I see the word "bourgeois" I konk out &amp; lose focus completely.. Something from my childhood, perhaps. At the end of the day, though, it may be that trying to place The Fuhrer on a rational, political spectrum may be like trying to determine whether Charlie Manson is Left Wing or Right Wing, but in both cases the term "Wacko" does seem appropriate regardless of the Wing...</content>

    <content type="text">Alles muss anders sein!

In America the left don't like using the term socialist any more, it has fallen out of fashion...they like to be called "progressives." Obama has forced both GM and Chrysler to hand over majority ownership to the unions...hmm, what were you saying about workers owning production?

Hitler, did not use the definition of socialism that you happen to like:

"Of what importance is all that, if I range men firmly within a discipline they cannot escape? Let them own land or factories as much as they please. The decisive factor is that the State, through the Party, is supreme over them regardless of whether they are owners or workers. All that is unessential; our socialism goes far deeper. It establishes a relationship of the individual to the State, the national community. Why need we trouble to socialize banks and factories? We socialize human beings."

or,

"There is more that binds us to Bolshevism than separates us from it. There is, above all, genuine, revolutionary feeling, which is alive everywhere in Russia except where there are Jewish Marxists. I have always made allowance for this circumstance, and given orders that former Communists are to be admitted to the party at once. The petit bourgeois Social-Democrat and the trade-union boss will never make a National Socialist, but the Communists always will."

or even better yet,

"We are socialists, we are enemies of today's capitalistic economic system for the exploitation of the economically weak, with its unfair salaries, with its unseemly evaluation of a human being according to wealth and property instead of responsibility and performance, and we are all determined to destroy this system under all conditions" - WOW! this could have come straight from Obama...It didn't..yeah it was Hitler.

Nazism was nothing more nor less than a racist form of Leftism

Oh and the worst part...he built the Volkswagen...um yeah...The PEOPLES car

And btw, Margaret Sanger, the darling of the American Left was a huge advocate of eugenics... In fact she started Planned Parenthood with the sole intent of weeding out the less desirable.</content>

    <content type="text">Myth: Hitler was a leftist.&#xD;
&#xD;
Fact: Nearly all of Hitler's beliefs placed him on the far right. &#xD;
&#xD;
Many conservatives accuse Hitler of being a leftist, on the grounds that his party was named "National Socialist." But socialism requires worker ownership and control of the means of production. In Nazi Germany, private capitalist individuals owned the means of production, and they in turn were frequently controlled by the Nazi party and state. True socialism does not advocate such economic dictatorship...Hitler's other political beliefs place him almost always on the far right. He advocated racism over racial tolerance, eugenics over freedom of reproduction, merit over equality, competition over cooperation, power politics and militarism over pacifism, dictatorship over democracy, capitalism over Marxism, realism over idealism, nationalism over internationalism, exclusiveness over inclusiveness, common sense over theory or science, pragmatism over principle...</content>

    <content type="text">Every one of the proposition Titles is misleading &amp; deceitful. Whoever wrote those titles did so in a spirit of deceit, attempting to hide the true meaning of the underlying legislation, thus justifying a NO vote on every one. Prop 1F will pass, however, by a huge majority, though many would rather see it reduce or completely eliminate Legislator pay when a budget deficit exists or Legislators fail to pass a balanced budget on time instead of merely 'freezing' Legislator pay in a "deficit year". So voters may want to consider casting a Hanging Chad YES on 1F.</content>

    <content type="text">Wow scare tactics and Hitler... Nice

VOTE NO on ALL the proposition..and vote often. 1F will also penalize legislators that want to fight and prevent a bad budget from passing.

For those of you who may not vote because the media has assured you that the propositions will easily go down in defeat...that was just a ploy by the liberal media to keep you away from the polls. They felt if they said this enough before the election, those who planned on voting no on the propositions would not bother voting being assured of an easy victory. This would be a huge mistake. The unions and democrats are organized and will be out in force tomorrow. It would not surprise me at all if most of these propositions passed because of how organized the Dems and public employee unions are.</content>

    <content type="text">It may soon be even easier to not vote. County Voter Registration &amp;  Election officials foresee budget cuts eliminating expensive, labor-intensive polling places altogether, leaving only one option for voters to cast their ballots: stop by the nearest Voter Registration office to pick up a ballot, fill it out &amp; mail it in.  Permanent Absentee Voters will still have their ballots mailed to them.&#xD;
&#xD;
Not to worry, things WILL continue to change whether you vote or not. As Right Wing Wacko Adolf Hitler once said..."Once the people have chosen me, why must they choose again &amp; again &amp; again?"</content>
