The First Annual Sacramento Sliders and Suds Fundraiser was held on Saturday, September 29th, 2012 at Fremont Park. The event was sponsored by the Sacramento Artists Council, Inc., The Sacramento Press and Dad’s Kitchen (Freeport) to raise money for children's art programs that assist at-risk children and children of homeless families. Sacramento school art programs also benefit from Sliders and Suds.
Patrons sampled sliders prepared by local restaurants, tasted beer samples from micro-breweries, listened to live music and enjoyed the warm afternoon in the park.
