Twenty food trucks are scheduled to set up at West Sacramento's River Walk Park on Saturday for SactoMoFo's Trucktoberfest mobile food fair.

The event is a gathering of food trucks accompanied by live music from local bands and beer, and it serves to celebrate West Sacramento's 25th anniversary.

Food trucks scheduled to be at the event include Addy's Paella (paella and tapas), Chairman Bao (Asian fusion), Chando's Tacos, Coast to Coast Sandwiches, Crave (new debut by Krush Burger), Curry Up Now, DavePops, Dave's Dawgs, Drewski's Hot Rod Kitchen, El Porteño, Krush Burger, Leila's Lumpia, Simply Southern, Smoothie Patrol, Swabbies on the River, Sweet and Mellow, Volks Waffle California, We Sushi, Little Rich's and Juice On.

Check the Swabbies on the River website for a map of the truck and bar layout.

“We’ll have a wide variety of beer offerings, and it’s going to be right on the river,” said Paul Somerhausen of SactoMoFo.

Announced earlier this month, the event is not only a celebration of West Sacramento's 25th anniversary, but an indication of how far the city has come since its incorporation in 1987.

“You couldn’t do it 25 years ago because there was no legal public access to the river other than at the boat ramp,” West Sacramento Mayor Christopher Cabaldon said.

River Walk Park is located at 651 Second St. in West Sacramento. The event runs from 11 a.m. - 7 p.m., and live music will be played from noon - 6 p.m.

Odd that there are two nearly identically named events on the same day: abovementioned Trucktoberfest and Tracktoberfest at Track 7 Brewery. Neither of which is actually happening in October. Not complaining though...I'll be trying to make both!

Oktoberfest starts in September in Bavaria as well.

Tough call between this event and the Sacramento Sliders & Suds downtown at roughly the same time. Beer and sliders or beer and... sliders, tacos, waffles, tapas, sandwiches etc. However, the Fremont Park event is advertising unlimited beer tastings, which is usually what my decision-making process comes down to.

That was a lot of fun. I'm glad I went to the event on the river. Probably the best outdoor venue in the whole area, at least that I have been to. Can't wait for another!
