On September 6, 2012 - Pavilions will host its second year celebrating Fashion’s Night Out. The glamorous evening highlights a fashion show featuring looks from Pavilions’ specialty stores, shopping, and music by DJ Dave Carvalho.
Fashion’s Night Out (FNO), is an unprecedented global initiative created in 2009 to celebrate fashion, restore consumer confidence, boost the industry’s economy, and put the fun back in shopping - a collaboration established by American Vogue, the Council of Fashion Designers of America, NYC & Company, and the City of New York.
“We are thrilled to bring this remarkable event back to Pavilions. It’s a way to celebrate the beauty of fashion while giving back to the community,” said Audrey Yokota Rhoads, Director of Marketing for Pavilions.
The event kicks off at 6 pm and includes retailers’ in-store events and promotions, shopping incentives, gourmet food trucks, and entertainment by a local hip hop youth group,
Step-One.
The Runway Party starts promptly at 8 pm with a high-profile fashion show produced by Mary Gonsalves Kinney from Sister | Brother Style featuring local celebrity models. General admission is free. VIP runway seats are available for $150 and include a complimentary $100 Pavilions Gift Certificate. All proceeds benefit the UC Davis Children’s Hospital, Sacramento’s local Children’s Miracle Network Hospital.
“We are excited and gratified that Pavilions has again selected UC Davis Children’s Hospital as the beneficiary for this wonderful event,” said Ann Madden Rice, CEO of UC Davis Medical Center. “It’s rewarding to know that we are valuable community partners who share our commitment to healthy babies, children, and adolescents.”
Local advertising sponsors include Sacramento Magazine and KCRA Ch. 3, with Metro EDGE as an event partner.
Celebrating 28 years as Sacramento’s premier shopping destination, Pavilions is home to these specialty stores and restaurants: Bella Bru Express, Chico’s, Coldwater Creek, Daitaro, Franco Ferrini Shoes, Hamilton Jewelers, It’s a Small World, Julius, Khakis, Lucy Activewear, Madam Butterfly,
The Paper Garden, Patrick James, Pavilions Salon Shoes, Piatti Ristorante & Bar, Ruth’s Chris Steak House, Talbots, Talbots Petites, Williams-Sonoma, and others.
Last year’s event was attended by over 1,500 guests raising $15,000 for the UC Davis Children’s Hospital. Special attendees included Mayor Kevin Johnson and E! Fashion Emergency’s Brenda Cooper hosted the fashion show while celebrity DJ Joel Madden entertained the crowd.
