UC Davis student Linnea Lomax has been missing since June 26, and her family and friends have put out a call for help in their continued search for her this weekend.
Lomax, 19, was last seen in Sacramento in the 800 block of Howe Avenue and is in need of medication, according to Helpfindlinnea.org, a website established by volunteers and friends of the Lomax family to organize search efforts.
The family is asking for volunteers to join in any of six search shifts on Friday, Saturday and Sunday in the American River area where Lomax was last seen.
According to the website, there will be two search shifts each day. The shifts run from 7 a.m. - noon and 2 - 7 p.m.
To volunteer in the search, sign up at Volunteer Spot or go to 2440 Glendale Lane, Sacramento.
A $10,000 reward is being offered for information leading to her safe return. More information on the search can be found here.
I'm curious, do they train volunteers?
I would love to help out but am not sure if I would be mentally prepared if, God forbid, I were to find something unsettling.
Thanks for posting this Melissa. It's important to keep this missing person case in the public eye!
One Presbyterian College student, missing three months, was found when he tried to enter Canada without a passport. Only a national story explaining what probably happened to cause the disappearance will find her. This could be any other college student.
Subliminal Distraction exposure is the likely cause of her breakdown and disappearance. A known problem in design for more than 48 years it is unknown in mental health services. Most who have the believed harmless psychotic-like episode of confusion recover with no treatment or after effects.
