Calm your mind and begin the day with sun salutations at outdoor yoga sessions held at McClatchy Park starting this weekend.
Classes will run from Saturday - Aug. 25 and will start at 9:30 a.m. People of all fitness levels are welcome to participate in the once-a-week yoga sessions.
Rhonda Jones, certified yoga instructor, has practiced yoga for three years and will head the class. Jones trained at the Niroga Center in Berkeley and will be offering a variety of yoga classes for strength, flexibility, relaxation and mindfulness. Her classes incorporate various yoga disciplines including healing, gentle, Raja, Vinyasa flow and meditation.
Bring a yoga mat and water bottle. Classes are free, but donations are appreciated.
McClatchy Park is located at 33rd Street and Sixth Avenue.
