Meet Sacramento’s newest food truck: OMG Burger.

Owner Ben Jones said he’s always had a passion for mobile food, and since food trucks are such a popular craze at the moment, he decided to toss his hat in the ring.

“I wanted to serve the best burgers in town,” he said Friday.

The truck’s signature burger – the OMG burger – is ground-up bacon blended into a beef patty topped with Cool Ranch Doritos and homemade ranch dressing.

“All of the burgers are original and creative,” Jones said, adding that the Bahng-Gu Burger is a nod to his half-Korean heritage, a cheeseburger topped with Korean bulgogi and fresh kimchi.

His favorite burger, he said, is the Dirty Sanchez, which features carne asada topped with homemade salsa and potato chips.

Prices for burgers will range from $5 to $8.50, and Jones said combo meals – including a burger, shoestring french fries and a soda – will run about $10.

“All the patties are handmade, and we take a lot of care with the details,” he said.

Paul Somerhausen of SactoMoFo said he is looking forward to tasting Jones’ offerings.

“The menu is very interesting and very provocative,” Somerhausen said. “He brings what food trucks are all about – a new angle to an American staple food. He brings a fresh look at the hamburger and has some very creative recipes.”

OMG Burger joins three existing burger trucks in Sacramento, The Willie Wagon, The Squeeze Inn and KrushBurger (formerly Miniburger).

Jones said he isn’t looking to get into a brick-and-mortar space, but if the truck is successful, he’d like to expand to Southern California and Las Vegas.

Setting up the business took about six months, including locating a truck that wasn’t too expensive and didn’t need too much work.

Jones’ background is in owning a small moving company, and OMG Burger is his first foray into food service, and he said he hired two restaurant veterans to bring food service experience to the table.

OMG Burger is expected to roll out on Friday, and it can be followed on Twitter, @OMGBurger.

I gave him an idea of infusing his korean heritage into a burger and he took the idea without giving me partial credit. Never try his burgers but I jus wish him the best.

If it was that important to you to receive what you feel is your due credit for "guiding" a half-Korean man in the food business to incorporate Korean elements into his food, perhaps you would have investigated and attempted to pursue the proper intellectual property rights instead of attempting to publicly smear/harm a small business that is just getting started.

Was this your idea too? If so, your contribution to the Korean-fusion cuisine scene in Sacramento is approaching legendary! http://www.sacramentopress.com/headline/70874/Tako_Korean_BBQ_opens

Xou, how can you say "never try his food, but I wish him the best?!" Are you insane? Ben made that menu like a year ago! All of his OMG ideas have been in the works way before you ever put in your two cents about 'korean heritage' You had absolutely NOTHING to do with ANYTHING about OMG at all. I understand if you are jealous, but no need to bash ben's truck, Why dont you use all your energy to go start your own business or something?

Do these guys have a schedule yet? I'm hoping to catch them downtown/midtown if they are planning to set up in the grid sometime this week.

Do you have to draw a mustache on your face after eating a Dirty Sanchez?
