EWF was founded in Chicago by Maurice White in 1969. The band has since received 20 Grammy nominations; winning six.
The group's award-winning accomplishments were evident as they performed hits “September,” “Let’s Groove,” “Shining Star,” among others.
The show was a visual spectacle as EWF’s stage presence had fantastic vibrant lighting.
EWF’s dynamic horn section stole the show.
The sold out crowd of 4,500 enjoyed the cool temperatures at Thunder Valley’s expansive Outdoor Amphitheater as the sun went down. The eclectic audience appeared captivated by EWF’s energy – giving several standing ovations, with many fans remaining standing for the entire show.
Thunder Valley Casino Resort’s Summer Concert Series lasts through September.
