The Steve Miller Band kept a sold out crowd on its feet last night at Thunder Valley Casino Resort in Lincoln.

An American rock band formed in 1967 in San Francisco, Steve Miller Band is well-known for a string of classic rock staples.

Miller, the lead guitarist, vocalist and manager, did a remarkable job of mixing old favorites with newer songs at Thunder Valley’s Outdoor Amphitheater.

At age 68, Miller still captivates the audience and rocks out on stage with ease.

The highpoints of the show were Miller’s hit songs – which the audience did not hesitate to sing along to.

Miller was able to get nearly all 4,500 members of the crowd on their feet with one of his earliest hits, “Take the Money and Run.” The band also performed “Jet Airliner,” “Abracadabra” and “Rock N’ Me,” among others.

The Steve Miller Band closed the show with a roaring performance of one of his earliest hits, "The Joker."

In four years between 1973 and 1977, Miller released three top-five albums, which included six top-20 hits. Most recently, the band released “Bingo!,” a new album of blues and R&B covers.

Thunder Valley Casino Resort’s Summer Concert Series lasts through September.

Disclosure: Miranda Marsalla handles Public Relations for Thunder Valley.

Great band. I've seen the SMB in WI, OR, and CA. I love the venue at Thunder Valley, but wasn't aware 4500 was capacity. What's next in the concert series? Is there a website URL people can click on and go to to see the lineup and purchase tickets? And do you have an email or Twitter address for further inquiries?
