A new Korean barbecue restaurant opened in an old gas station Friday after several pre-opening tastings were held.

Tako Korean BBQ brings a Korean/Mexican fusion concept to 30th and T streets, and co-owner Alex Won told The Sacramento Press on Friday that the first lunch went well, and he was looking forward to the opening-night shift.

The menu includes a taco with spicy pork, tangy slaw and a chipotle emulsion; short rib tacos with house-made blueberry salsa; and Kimchi quesadillas.
