The Elly Award-winning Fairytale Town Troupers continue their fifth season with "Sinbad and Aladdin: The Arabian Knights!," an epic adventure filled with thrilling swordplay, monsters, mischief and magic. The show will be presented on Saturdays and Sundays, Jul. 14, 15, 21 and 22, at 12 and 1 p.m.
“Sinbad & Aladdin: The Arabian Knights!” tells the lost tale of the heroic Captain Sinbad and his quest to free the beautiful Princess Scheherazade from the evil Sultan Natazz and his monstrous minions. Sinbad is joined by another famous hero—Aladdin—and together they search for a magical lamp to aide them in their adventure.
"Sinbad and Aladdin: The Arabian Knights!" stars Elliott Herzer as Sinbad; Joanne Newens as Aladdin; Katherine Wolfenden as Princess Scheherazade; and Julia Benson as Mino-Clops.
Performances will be held on Fairytale Town’s outdoor Mother Goose Stage and are free with paid park admission. Weekend admission is $5 for adults and children ages 2 and older and free for children ages 1 and under.
The Fairytale Town Troupers is a unique theater arts program that teaches the essentials of live stage production in a practical rehearsal and performance format. Novices work side-by-side with seasoned veterans to gain invaluable hands-on experience in the art of producing live theater. The Troupers program is open to young actors ages 5 to 18 as well as college interns and adult volunteers ages 18 to 21.
Original productions for the Fairytale Town Troupers are written and directed by Fairytale Town’s resident theater arts educator, John E. Lee, an award-winning local playwright, director and actor.
The Troupers’ fifth season will continue with “A Princess of Stars Episode 3: Return of the Trilogy!” in August.

Fairytale Town is a 501 (c)(3) non-profit children’s park and educational center in Land Park whose mission is to promote the imagination, creativity and education of children. Established in 1959, Fairytale Town is home to more than 25 three-dimensional play sets based on favorite fairytales and nursery rhymes, a family of 22 rare and miniature breed animals, three interactive learning gardens and two performing arts stages. From March through October, the park is open daily from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. From November through February, the park is open Thursday through Sunday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., weather permitting.
