The River City Brewing Company's Friday Night Barbecue is back this week, with chef Ignacio "Nacho" Sanchez grilling meats and mingling with diners at the restaurant and brewpub located in Westfield Downtown Plaza.

“Our head chef will be out there barbecuing oysters on the half shell, chicken and shrimp, and sometimes artichokes,” General Manager and co-owner Beth Ayres, 35, previously told The Sacramento Press.

The barbecues are held from about 5:30 - 8:30 p.m. and are popular with the after-work crowd.

Oysters run about $1.75 each, and two skewers of chicken – a couple bites each – cost $1, with two skewers of prawns available for $1.50.

River City Brewing Company is located at 545 Downtown Plaza.
