The entryway to Oak Park's Farmers Market greets shoppers with shade! (Image by: Kati Garner) Saturday was the second of many more Farmers Markets in Oak Park since it happens every Saturday through October 27, 2012. It's location is great at McClatchy Park. While shoppers bought and sellers talked, a 220 lb pig was roasting and a variety of interactive activities, including live music from local bands, activities for children (story-telling, face painting, art projects) were happening.

Jubilee Farm hosted an annual Pig Roast, a fundraiser, to help suport local food and local farmers.

Here's some photos of the roasting pig and more:

Roasted Whole Pig
Salt Roasted Pork
Grilled Rack of Pork
Roasted Porchetta
Fresh Sausages

Farm Fresh Chicken (Cooked Inside the Pork)

Baked Beans

Grilled Asparagus

Farmers Market Strawberries

Vegetables Boulangerie
