Sacramento’s bicycle-sharing program in Midtown commenced at 4 p.m. Friday. Riders can rent bicycles for free for 30 minutes, and for $2 per half hour after that at automated kiosks. The program is a six-month pilot that is privately funded. At the end of the pilot, organizers will determine if and how it should expand.
