The City of Sacramento, Parks and Recreation Department will have six swimming pools open for aquatics programs and recreational swimming. These pools include Clunie, Doyle, Johnston, McClatchy Park, George Sim, and Pannell Meadowview. These pools will be open for recreational swim from 1 pm to 5 pm, six days per week. Doyle, Clunie and Pannell Meadowview Pools will be open weekends from 1 pm to 7 pm.

Doyle and Johnston Pools open beginning the week of June 13, while the others open the week of June 20. Each pool will be closed one day a week. Recreational swimming is still a bargain compared to other pools in the region. Adults 18 and over pay $2 and youth 17 and under pay $1.

For details on specific pool hours and open/closure dates, please visit our website at http://www.cityofsacramento.org/parksandrecreation/recreation/aquatics/pools.htm

In addition, five stand-alone play pools will also be open in various four-hour recreational swimming blocks beginning the week of June 20th. Admission to these play pools is free. Two other swimming pools are open on a limited basis. Glenn Hall Pool in River Park opens for swim lessons and swim team programs. Thank you to the efforts of River Park Neighborhood Association for fundraising dollars to open the pool for limited recreational swim hours. Natomas High School will be open for swim lessons, swim team practices, lap swim and water aerobics.
