Tonight's Review Writing workshop will be live streamed, and we encourage you to tune in from 6:45 - 8 p.m.

Sacramento Press Editor in Chief David Watts Barton will teach the basics of reviewing concerts, theater and other performances.

We are not accepting anymore RSVPs at this point. We are at full capacity for attendees.

If you have RSVP'd but it's more convenient for you to watch the live stream, we encourage you to do so.

The Ustream video will be pasted in this article later today. It will go live when the workshop starts.

If you have questions before 7:30 p.m., go ahead and post them in the comment section and they will be directed at David to answer during the workshop.

thank you SO much for providing a virtual classroom with live online streaming video. I was caught in rush hour traffic and unable to attend. I got the email about the online link and tried to watch it on my laptop. I called Sac Press.com office and let them know to "release" my RSVP and give it to someone on the Wait List since enrollment was impacted.

I tried watching the streaming video from 6:45 to 7:30 but the revereration/echo was so strong that the instructors speech was unintelligible. He looked like a highly informed fellow and I would LOVE to watch this again if you have archived it for future reference.

The audio and video quality was quite poor - can you have someone "tweak it" and post it to archived lectures so folks can watch it later this week?

You guys rock my world! What a great asset for our community.

Keep up the good work.........

Sorry about that, Colleen. Our microphone wasn't working very well so the audio is coming from a laptop. The room is quite big so that's causing the echo. I can send you the handout from this tomorrow via email, if you'd like.

David was very informative and great at speaking from experience. I learned a lot from this workshop and I'm sure you'll see me at future workshops.

I heard the echo as well but after tilting my head the right way (like the old RCA Dog Logo) I was able to tune in. I did have a suggestion for the next streaming video, if the presenter could possibly repeat any questions that would be great.

Saved gas and time by watching the streaming broadcast at home making it all worthwhile.
