The NBA has suspended Tyreke Evans for one game without pay for reckless driving after he was caught speeding up to 130 mph by the California Highway Patrol on Memorial Day.
Evans, who won the NBA Rookie of the Year Award last season, will miss the Kings' first game on Oct. 27 at Minnesota against the Timberwolves but will still be able to play in the preseason games.
Evans was sentenced to three years of informal probation, 80 hours of alternative sentencing and his driver's license was suspended for 30 days after pleading no contest to the offense.
He is also scheduled to appear in one more CHP Smart Start Driving class after participating in his first.
