Interesting Fact: "I LOVE macaroni and cheese so much that I have created a blog about my adventures with the creamy noodle goodness that was recently featured by Dad’s Kitchen."
Fun Fact: "I sang Mariah Carey’s "Always Be My Baby” acapella in the 6th grade in a pink frilly dress with matching white frilly socks."
Random Fact: "When you type my name in a text using an iPhone, the auto correct changes it to SARS."
Taking some advice from a friend playing in kickball is what led Sarah to become a seasoned kickballer herself: “…it just so happened to be right when I was going through a breakup. I reluctantly signed up for kickball when she told me it would be a good way to ‘keep busy and distracted’ and after the first team BBQ I was hooked!”
Sarah is known for bringing tons of energy and competitive edge to the field in what she prefers to call “…a creative way to multi-task, kicking the ball while also telling off my opponents.” And when the game is over, and she gets to relax with her teammates and the league at the sponsor bar Republic Bar and Grill, the multi-tasking does not stop for her: “You can play ski ball while holding a PBR tall can,” which is what you’ll find her doing if she is not busy playing flip cup or her personal favorite “flip cup with no hands.”
But there is one thing she is careful not to multi-task with: “Kickball has taught me to be careful mixing business with pleasure and kickball is business. So take that for what it is.”
This girl does not mess around when it comes to her game!
Disclosure: Cristina Lupercio has played kickball for 5 seasons and has served on the local league committee since Fall 2010
