eWomenNetwork – Real Women Real Business
eWomenNetwork is changing the way women Network.
I recently had a chance to become involved with the Sacramento Chapter of eWomenNetwork and Executive Managing Director Suzi Sherman. I was lucky enough to be chosen to be a model in the eWomenNetwork event called Real Woman, Real Fashion on Feb. 26, where approximately 200 business women and men enjoyed an evening at Parlare Lounge, 10th & J, to view the designs of local fashion designers Britt Steele and Heather McKay from 222 Fashion. Mayor Johnson even came to support our local business owners in the Community.
eWomenNetwork raised money through a silent auction for My Sisters House & the eWomenNetwork foundation. We had local businesswomen wearing 20 custom looks. 10 were professional and 10 were evening. I was lucky enough to wear the clothing of 222 fashion by Heather McKay, both for a professional look as well as evening.
The Sacramento eWomen Chapter meets the second Tuesday of the month and usually consists of between 60-100 people. The Network has been growing recently and Suzi hopes to raise the number of people to 120 to help improve the quality and quantity of businesses in Sacramento.
"When you can gather amazing local talent in one place and celebrate each other while raising money to support your community. You know you are doing the right thing in the world", said Executive Managing Director Suzi Sherman.
For the month of March, the eWomenNetwork meeting will be held March 10, at the Sterling Hotel in the Ballroom at 1300 H Street.
Sue Malone, the President of Strategies for Small Business, and the number one provider of the SBA Community Express Loan Program, will be speaking at the event. She has funded 20,000 loans and her goal is 100,000.
"I have to say it is one of my favorite organizations. At least two times during the event we break into small groups and it’s kind of like speed dating for business. So we get to know each other and the organization attracts some high quality professional women," said business owner, published author and Sacramento area resident, Stephanie Chandler.
eWomenNetwork consists of everyone from local women business owners, female executives, entrepreneurs, and even women who work under the umbrella of someone else. They even have male business owners and businessmen as members. We call the our "e-males".
